Conditions of use: content of CO2 in the corrosive environment was 1.75%, temperature in the system - 8000С. |
Inhibitor: DEFENDER-4215.5. Dosage: continuous supply of 10-20 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid. |
Corrosion inhibitor DEFENDER-4215.5 was supplied in the producing well in the amount of 10g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid. Under these conditions, the rate of equipment corrosion, defined by the method described in the NACE Standard TM-0374, compared with the initial corrosion level, decreased by 90.1%. After supplying corrosion inhibitor DEFENDER-4215.5 into producing well in the amount of 25 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid the rate of equipment corrosion decreased by 97.2%, if compared with the initial corrosion level. Based on the following results, experts of the oil production company came to the conclusion that, in order to achieve effective protection against corrosion of equipment surfaces of offshore productive wells, dosing of inhibitor DEFENDER-4215.5 in the amount of 10-12 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of produced fluid can be considered optimal. |
